Each week during the college football season, we'll come here to react to the new TRAM Top 25. TRAM, like most models and systems, gets better and more accurate as the season progresses.

As has been the case in recent years, the SEC continues to dominate the top of the polls. TRAM is no different. 4 SEC teams show up in the top 6 this week: Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. That will most likely change next though, as Tennessee and Alabama square off this weekend. The last time a conference finished with 4 teams in the top 6 was in 2012. It was the SEC.
During the off-season, the Big Ten extended invites to the 2 LA schools: USC and UCLA. After 6 weeks of play, those 2 are the only undefeated teams in the Pac-12 and the only teams ranked in the TRAM Top 25. While there continues to be lots of discussion about whether or not more teams will be invited, for now, it looks as though the B1G made the correct decision.
4 2-loss teams are ranked this week: Texas at #19, Purdue at #20, Notre Dame at #24, and Maryland at #25. Each team has a loss to a fellow Top 25 team. Notre Dame was bested by #1 Ohio State to start the season. Maryland lost a close one to #9 Michigan. Purdue was overcome by #16 Penn State. Texas came up just short against #2 Alabama. While winning is obviously better, there are moral victories.
